Christmas Time

Christmas time was so great this year!! All of my siblings were able to get together at my parents house and we also had Yuyi's sister Mbuyu with us. We all had a great time together playing games, eating, visiting, watching movies, and lots of laughing! It was so fun seeing all the kids opening presents and playing together, I love my family so much!!!

Briggs turned 2 on November 30, I cannot believe that my little boy is 2 already! It is crazy how each year goes by so quickly. We celebrated his birthday a week before his actual day because Yuyi had to leave for TX before his birthday. He had a little party with the neighbor kids, my parents, and aunt Lisa. He is OBSESSED with Lightening McQueen right now so he had a Cars party and got lots of fun cars toys! Auntie Lisa made a super cute Cars cake for our little man. All in all it was a fun day!

We are so glad that baby Elsie finally made her appearance! I thought she would come early like her brothers but I carried her 39.5 weeks. My labor and delivery was super fast, I was at a 5 at 7:30 when the doc. came into break my water and she was born at 8:35. Elsie came so quickly that I did it naturally and the doctor wasn't even in the room, the nurse delivered her! I'm gratful for a fast and easy delivery and a healthy baby girl!

Halloween 2011

We had a fun Halloween this year! A few weeks before Halloween the boys and I made our annual trip to the pumpkin patch. They had so much fun and Briggs especially loved the cow train (he cried for about 20 min. after leaving because he didn't want to leave the train). It was a fun day but I was worn out by the time we got home. For Halloween we went to the rec. center's mayors walk and carnival and then hit the ward party, the boys got tons of toys and candy and had a great holiday!!

A New Adventure!

We'll we are being transferred to... Houston TX!!! Yuyi starts Dec. 1st but I will wait until the end of Jan. to move with the kids. We are excited for this change but sad to leave our good friends here in Vernal. We are also sad to move so far away from family but we know that this is where we are supposed to be. Yuyi will still be working for Halliburton but his new position will be an Engineering Adviser and will be working with the sells team. The best part for me is he will be working M-F, so we will have the weekends together!!!! Here's to a new place and start for the Yuyi's!

Kobe had a wonderful Birthday this year! On his actual Birthday we were at my parents house, so he got to spend his day with Grandma, Grandpa, and Auntie Lisa which he loved! He wanted to go swimming so Lisa and I took the boys then he picked McDonald's for his Birthday dinner! The Saturday after his Birthday we had a party Kobe at the Rec Center. He had a blast with all his friends and all in all he had a great 5th!!!!

Yesterday Kobe started his first day of preschool. He was super excited and had a great day! He has already made some friends in his class, so hopefully he will have a wonderful year! These pictures were taken before he left, of course Briggs couldn't be left out so they both had to wear their batman shirts! I just love these boys so much!

Summer Recap

Summer has come and went and I have have not posted once so here is a recap of some of the things we did. The first week of June the boys and I went to Idaho Falls to watch my cute nephew Mason, he was so fun to watch and the boys loved him so much! A few weekends after that we decided it would be fun to rent a boat and go to the gorge. We had a great time, even though the weather wasn't that great. July we went to SLC and Park City and just hung out as a fam. While in SLC we took the boys to a jump house and they loved every minute of it! The first week of Aug. we had a family reunion for my dad's side of the family. We went to some cabins outside of Lyman, WY. We had a good time, and Kobe had so much fun playing with all of his cousins! Briggs on the other hand was a little clingy to me and wouldn't let me out of his sight.
On Aug. 20Th Yuyi and I celebrated our 6th anniversary so we went to Park City. I cannot believe 6 years has passed already! I love him even more than the day I married him! This summer we also went to Rock Springs a few times to visit my family.

Now that summer is coming to an end I am sad, but I also look forward to Kobe starting preschool (on wed.) and soccer soon. It will be nice to get back on a schedule again.

Family Fun in SLC

Yuyi had a few days off so we decided to take a mini vacation and head to SLC! Kobe was especially excited to sleep in a hotel (he just thinks this is the best thing ever!) We took the boys to build a bear (no pictures sorry) And Kobe loved it, Briggs liked just being wild and running around. Kobe picked a cameo bear with cameo clothes that sang a Happy Birthday song. (Yuyi and I don't know where that came from but it made him happy!) Briggs picked a horse in basketball clothes.
The next day we went to the Discovery Museum, which was AWESOME! It you have not taken your kids yet I would suggest this activity! Kobe loved it all and was so excited to see all the fun activities! Briggs was so funny he LOVED them all so much that when we would move onto a new exhibit he would cry, but then seeing the next thing he would be so happy and the cycle continued the entire time. That afternoon we went to Hogle Zoo, which was fun even though it was a little cold. Kobe and Briggs loved seeing all the animals! All in all it was a fun family vacation! We hoped to do this again in the near future.

It has been so long since I have posted (because of morning sickness) so here are some things that we have been up to. We had a wonderful Easter here at home, Kobe had so much fun coloring eggs and finding them and Briggs even got into the egg hunt! Kobe has been playing soccer and had liked it pretty well, we had one week where he didn't want to play but he has done good since then.
Kobe's last week of preschool they had Smokey the Bear come and then did a bike safety course. He had so much fun at preschool this year and I am not looking forward to keeping him busy all summer, hopefully it goes by quickly. Sorry for the quick update I will keep on top of it better (hopefully)!

Christmas

We had a wonderful Christmas this year!!! We were in Rock Springs visiting my family, it was a quick, relaxing trip! Kobe and Briggs had a great Christmas and LOVED all the presents, especially Kobe (He unwrapped everyones gifts!) Christmas Eve we were able to go the the movie Tangled, which is so cute! And then we had a wonderful dinner followed by stories of Christ, and his account in Luke 2. Christmas morning we opened gifts and relaxed a bit, then we had a brunch with some friends which was so fun! Christmas afternoon my parents, Kobe, and I went to Yogi Bear, it was good but Tangled was much cuter! Then next day we went to Church with my family then packed up and headed back to Vernal. Thanks Mom, dad, and Lisa for the great time!! Hope everyone else had a wonderful Christmas!

Frosty the Snowman

We have finally gotten snow that has actually stuck!! Kobe has been dying to build a snowman, so I thought today was the perfect day to do just that! I haven't built a snowman in YEARS so it is a little one that is not very round, but Kobe loves his Frosty, so that's all that matters. Briggs loved being outside in the snow, his hands got cold because he wouldn't keep his mittens on, but that didn't seem to stop him! I love my boys and having fun times with them!!!

My whole family was together for Thanksgiving so we had some family picture taken. We had a blast at Bradford's and Rachael's in Idaho Falls, thanks again for letting all of us come! There was good food (of course), good company, and tons of shopping! Us girls went black Friday shopping and were very successful. We left at 11pm Thanksgiving night and didn't come home until about 6 the next morning! Super fun times!

We have had a very eventful Halloween season. Kobe had a total of 3 parties, 2 carnivals, one time to the corn maze and pumpkin patch, and of course trick-or-treating and pumpkin carving. It was been busy but super fun! I made Kobe a ninja turtle costume and he wore that to his first party, but after that he wanted to wear a power ranger costume that I got at a second hand store. Briggs was our cute little peas in a pod and was a little trooper through all of the excitement. Here are some pictures of our fun times. Enjoy!!

Fish Hatchery Fieldtrip

A couple weeks ago Kobe had a fieldtrip at the fish hatchery and LOVED it! It was a really fun place and they learned a lot about 4 types of fish. Kobe's favorite part was feeding the fish and getting fish stickers! I'm so glad that he is old enough now to enjoy these types of things!

Here are some pictures from Kobe's Birthday. He had a blast at his toy story party with his friends, his only request for the party was a pinata. So I had all these 3-4 year old boys trying to break the pinata, after a while they still hadn't broken it so I had to go and break it for them. For dinner Kobe wanted to go to McDonald's he was so excited (because we rarely go there). At McDonald's Kobe kept coming up to me and telling me this was the BEST birthday EVER!! It's funny how McDonald's was the highlight of his day! I cannot believe I have a 4 year old now, Crazy!

Kobe had his first day of preschool last week! He was so excited to finally be able to go to school (but was a little disappointed that he didn't get to ride the bus yet). For preschool me and 5 other moms are teaching it each taking a week at a time. I thought this was a great idea since preschool is about $80 a month and Kobe has 2 years before he goes to kindergarten, so to save money we will do this for a year and then next year I will put in a formalized preschool. I was the first one to teach and it went great! The kids are really good and excited to learn. I forgot how much I do love teaching preschool, I had a blast! Here's to a great Preschool year!

Labor Day weekend we got all my family together for some fun! Kobe has been dying to go to Chuck E. Cheese forever now and since Jacob, Cody, and Kobe all have September birthday's we decided to celebrate at the greatest place on earth (according to Kobe). We all had a blast! The rest of the weekend we were able to hang out with my Grandpa and some of my cousins! All in all it was a great weekend!

We have had a pretty relaxing summer, we had a couple reunions but other than that we have just hung out. Kobe just finished swim lessons today and loved every minute of it. I am proud to say that he can now swim about 4 feet without any assistance! He also jumped off the diving board and was pretty proud of himself! Briggs is getting so big and BUSY! He likes to stand up but forgets to hold on so he falls a lot. He has 3 teeth and one more coming in. We have had a great summer so far!

All the cousins

This past week we were able to have a family reunion with Yuyi's 2 cousins and one of his friends from Zambia. We stayed in Midway UT at my Aunt and Uncles condo. It was so much fun and we all had a blast! Monday we arrived and ate dinner, played some games, and just hung out. Tuesday we went swimming, played the wii, more games, and enjoyed everyones company. Wednesday we went to Park City and went to the alpine slide, did more swimming and game playing. Thursday we checked out and all of us headed to Vernal. In vernal we went to the park and had a picnic then went to the petroglyph's after that we showed everyone good ole' Vernal. Friday we went to the splash park before everyone except Blessing's family headed home. We had a wonderful time catching up with everyone and cannot wait for our reunion next summer! We love you guys!!!

6 months already!

I cannot believe that my little baby is already 6 months old! This has gone by WAY too fast! Here are some things that Briggs can do now:
- Sit up without support
- Roll over (he doesn't like to and cries when he does)
- Eating baby food (he LOVES to eat and eats more baby food than Kobe ever did, anytime someone is eating he will whine for food. That's probably why he's a chunk!)
- He has no teeth yet but I'm pretty sure one is going pop out any day now!
- Sleeps through the night!
- Briggs LOVES playing with Kobe and just watching him! I love that they are already best buds!
We all love our little Briggs so much he is such a happy, fun, little guy!

Kobe's Dance Recital

On Saturday Kobe had his first dance recital. I was nervous that he wouldn't do it because of our last performance at the health fair where he just cried. So we prepped him for this one and told he if he did a good job he could go play at the play place. He was super excited and wanted so badly to go play. To my surprise he went right out on stage and danced his little heart out! We were all so very proud of him for getting over his fears!! Hear and some of the many videos I took of him, I posted so many for grandma and grandpa who were not able to attend.

This morning I sent Kobe to his room to clean it and I put Briggs on his bed because he loves watching his brother. I told Kobe to clean up while I was doing some Laundry. After 5 minutes of being in there I hear giggling coming from Briggs, I come in to find this, Kobe on the bed playing with Briggs. It was so cute that I couldn't get mad at Kobe for not cleaning, I'm just glad that they love each other so much!

Mother's day weekend my whole family went down to SLC for some fun! All of us girls were able to run in the race for the cure Saturday morning. It was tons of fun and TONS of people. The first mile we were walking so slow, but after that it picked up and we were able to jog.
My sister Kellee's Birthday is on the 15th so we all went out to lunch at an amazing Brazilian restaurant Tucanos. After lunch the guys went golfing while use girls went shopping.
We were able to go see my cute grandpa in Provo and Briggs got to meet him! We all think that Briggs gets his looks for Grandpa Bradford, what do you think?
Saturday night Yuyi, Bradford, Lisa, and my Dad got tickets to go to the Jazz/Lakers playoff game, they had a blast and Yuyi was glad to see the Lakers win!

My mom has been bugging me to update my blog, so here ya go mom!
The boys and I and Aunt Lisa went to visit Bradford and Rachael to see there new house, it was a quick trip but tons of fun! I made Brad take a picture with Briggs in matching outfits because Brad and Kobe have the same picture when he was a baby.

At the health fair this last Saturday they were doing face painting and Kobe wanted a tiger face, it doesn't really look like a tiger to me but Kobe loved it! On the way home from the fair Kobe said, "Hey mom if you see a jungle will you drop me off?" So I found a grouping of trees and said ok Kobe here is your jungle lets pretend to drop you off. And Kobe said, "No lets not pretend, let me out in the jungle mom." He is so silly and makes me laugh so much!

Break Dancing

A couple months ago I signed Kobe up for an all boys break dancing and tumbling class. He has really loved going and loves coming home and showing his dad his moves. On Saturday his class was preforming for the health fair. When we got there Kobe got scared and ended up crying during his performance. So I decided to take this video of him at his class yesterday so people can see Kobe and his sweet moves!

Kobe and his two buddies Wyatt and Aaden love to play superheros when the come over! It is so funny to hear them playing using there imagination! They love to pretend Kobe's stuffed animals are bad guys and they tie them up and use there powers on them. This particular day they were pretending that Briggs was the bad guys and they would shoot pretend webs on him, they are just too funny!

Briggs loves watching TV already. It is nice for me when I need to get things done I will put him with Kobe and he will sit for about 20 min. Kobe loves his brother so much and will ask for his brother to be by him! I just love these kiddos so much!!!

4 Months

Wow I can't believe my baby is already 4 months old! Where has the time gone? Here are some of the things Briggs does now:
-He talks (jabbers) all the time! I love waking up to him talking in the morning, it's way better than a crying baby!
-He can roll from his tummy to back but doesn't like to. He cries every time he does this, it's just so funny!
-He is starting to giggle, he loves when Kobe talks to him and he has laughed at him a couple of times, I love hearing his little laugh!
-He is starting to sit up. He can only go for about 10 sec. but he is trying.

We love our little Briggs and love his sweet spirit in our home!!

I cannot believe that my baby is already 3 months old!! My how the flies after these little ones arrive! Briggs is such a good baby and so much fun to have around! Kobe just adores his brother and wants Briggs to do everything with him. I'm glad that Kobe is already his best friend, I cannot wait until Briggs gets older to interact with his brother more.

Briggs got this cute little bear outfit from Cathy Ebert, and it is so adorable! Today was his first time wearing it and Kobe absolutely LOVED it!!! He had to put on his monkey costume, so that he and Briggs were both animals! Later when I took it off Briggs, Kobe wanted to try it on. I was surprised that I could zip the jacket. Kobe just makes me laugh he is so silly!

This Christmas we went to Rock Springs to be with my family. It was so nice to have all my siblings there, the last time we were all together for Christmas was seven years ago!

Christmas was fun and Kobe was so excited for all the presents! He is at the perfect age to really get into the spirit of the season.

After opening presents Kobe, Bradford, and Rachael went outside to play in the snow, while the rest of us enjoyed relaxing inside the s house.

Christmas evening we blessed Briggs at my parents house since all my siblings were there. Yuyi gave a beautiful blessing and it was so nice to have so much family and friends there.

Sunday night I started having lots of pressure and it continued all night long in the morning I called my doctor and he said to come to the hospital to get checked. I was dilated 4 centimeters. They hooked me up to the machines to see if I was contracting and not feeling it. I wasn't contracting but he wanted me to wait an hour and check me again. When he checked me again I was almost at a 5 so my doctor decided to break my water. After he broke my water I started progressing very quickly. An hour and a half after they started me I was dilated to 10 centimeters. I pushed twice and little Briggs was here! My labor and delivery went pretty fast and was not to bad thanks to the epidural!

We are all doing great and love having Briggs in our family!

Ok so there have been a lot of people bugging me to see my belly, I am just so embarrassed because it is HUGE!!!! But I am breaking down and will show one picture of me, so here it is.

Other pregnancy news, I went to the doctor last Wednesday when I was 36 weeks and was measuring 41 weeks and was dilated to a 3. The doctor is nervous that this baby will be too big to deliver naturally if I go to my due date so he said that if I do not go on my own soon then he will induce in 10 days! So I should have a baby within the week!

Fall Festivities

Time really has flown by this last month! Here are some of the fun fall things we have done. We went to a corn maze/pumpkin patch with the Vernal mom's group. Kobe had a blast picking out his pumpkin and playing in the corn. We also went to a Halloween party put on by the Vernal group and it was so much fun! Kobe loved seeing everyone in there costumes. His favorite was a little boy dressed up as Mr. Incredible I think he thought it was the real thing because he followed that boy around the whole party (good thing he was a good sport about it and let Kobe play with him). For Halloween we were in Rock Springs visiting my parents so we went to there trunk or treat and then also went trick or treating to a couple of houses. All in all it was a great month!

Agility and Coordination

Itty Bitty Ball

Kobe was able to participate in a program called Itty Bitty Ball. It was for kids ages 3-5 and they did 4 different sports: basketball, tennis, soccer, and T-ball. It ran for four weeks and they had class twice a week. Kobe really loved going and trying all these different sports! He said his favorites were soccer and T-ball. Happy 3rd Birthday KOBE! Kobe had his birthday yesterday, I can't believe that my baby is now three! They definitely grow up way too fast! Kobe was a lucky Boy this year and had two parties. The weekend before his birthday auntie Lisa, grandma and grandpa (who Kobe calls Vaughn and not grandpa) came to Vernal. We had him open his presents from them and then had spiderman cupcake! Then on his actual birthday weekend Uncle Bradford and aunt Rachael came to visit. Kobe invited two friends and we went bowling. It was so much fun and Kobe had a BLAST! For this party he wanted a soccer ball cake (which I attempted but a little scary).

What we've been up to

Wow this last month has really flown by! I can't believe we are in August already, time flies when you are busy and having fun. Here are some of the things we've been up to. My grandma Huntsman passed away in the middle of July a week before her 93rd birthday! She was a wonderful women and example and will be greatly missed. She had been battling heart disease for almost a year so it is good she is no longer suffering. I can only imagine the wonderful reunion between her and my grandpa when she passed! I am so grateful to know that I will get to see her again someday. Kobe and I were able to attend her funeral and burial in Boise ID. It was nice to see a lot of my extended family and it was great to be with Kellee's family who we hadn't seen in a while. While in Boise we did early celebrations for Rachael's Birthday (August 2nd) and Averi's birthday (she turned one on Aug. 11th) it was nice to be able to celebrate with most of our family there. After Boise Kobe and I spent a couple days in Rock Springs. While we were there we were able to go to "The Big Show" (the fair). Kobe had a blast looking at all the animals, getting free stuff, and his favorite part riding some rides. Here are some pics from that past month, enjoy!

For the 4th this year we had our first Vaughn and Elaine Huntsman Family Reunion! It was so much fun and I cannot wait to do it again! We went to Lava Hot Springs in Idaho. My parents rented a yurt (picture below) it was like a big circle enclosure with 4 queen beds, some couches, a tv, and a refrigerator. Some of us stayed in the yurt while some stayed in tents. We all arrived on Thursday and we left early Sunday morning. On Friday we went to Lava's hot pools and swimming pool. It was a blast! I was surprised at how much Kobe swam that day! On Saturday we went to Soda Spring, Idaho for the festivities. In the morning there was a 5K race that everyone ran except Yuyi, Kellee, Averi, Kobe, and me. I guess they had fun doing it and to our surprise my dad was the fastest out of all our family coming in about 7 min. before everyone else, way to go dad! And the funny thing is everyone else had been working out and running preparing for this race and my dad did nothing except golf a few times a week. After the race we watched the parade. I forgot to take pictures of the parade so sorry. After the parade we went to the park in Soda where they had lots of booths set up and foods stands galore! It was awesome because all the game booths were FREE!! Kobe's favorites at the park were the fishing game, getting balloons, and riding the train! After the park the guys went golfing while the rest of us took naps! It was a fun day but we were all exhausted after that. That night we watched the fireworks. All in all it was a great Family Reunion and 4th of July!

Well anyways parenting magazine called me a few months ago and asked if they could put his picture in the July issue of parenting magazine. Kobe goes into the computer room and pretends to type on the computer he comes out a few minutes later.

Kobe:"Ok, I'm done."

Kobe:"I have big hair."

Me:"You're right your hair is big. What kind of hair do I have?"

Kobe:"Long."

Me:"What kind of hair does daddy have?"

Kobe: Thinks for a minute then replies, "Circle hair."

Kobe is so funny he just makes me laugh! I love this stage he is in right now!!

Spiderman

Lately Kobe has had a amazing imagination and loves pretending to be different things, usually he is animals and he tells me which animal I am. He is just so much fun and he makes me laugh daily! Well he has been into spiderman recently, even though he has never seen him, and he likes to dress up like him. So today he walked into the room just like this! He is so clever and cute, I wonder where kids get there great imaginations from, too bad I don't think like this anymore. Oh and by the way just wanted to let everyone know that I'm pregnant! We are so excited to have an new little one in December!

Bowling

Kobe has been asking to go bowling ever since he played wii bowling. So yesterday Yuyi and I decided since is was a rainy day and nothing better to do we would go bowling. It was so fun and Kobe was so excited. He first tried to roll the ball down the lane but it got stuck half way through, I guess he needs more upper body strenght first. Luckily they had this wire ball rack that all he had to do was push the ball. Kobe had a great time and Yuyi and I had fun watching Kobe's excitement! At the very end I was putting on my shoes and I see Kobe place his ball down and kick it down the lane before I get to him! Luckily he did not hurt his foot and amazingly his ball made it all the way down. I guess we should stick with soccer.

Easter

Sorry this post is a little late I have been away from a computer for a while and also been a little lazy with blogging. So here are so Easter pictures finally. Since Yuyi is gone Kobe and I went up to my parents for Easter sunday. Kobe had a blast doing the Easter egg hunt and receiving his basket from the Easter bunny. I love that Kobe is getting old enough to start to understand why we celebrate these holiday's. I am truly gratful of the Savior's atonement and resurrection for us all, we are so blessed. I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday!

Graduation

Kobe and I went up to Rexburg the weekend of Easter for Graduation. My younger sister Lisa graduated and also Yuyi's cousin Blessing graduated. It was a fun weekend to see all my family and hang out! Rainbow Jello Salad

I had a friends get together on Saturday and some of them requested this recepie. It is a great recpie for Easter time with all the bright colors, ENJOY!

5 packages of Jello (3 oz packages) Yellow, Orange, Red, Green, and either blue or purple.

Mix 1 package with 1 cup boiling water. Stir well then divide in half. Add 2 TBS cold water to one of the bowls. Pour one portion in a 9x13 pan and refridgerate for 20-30 min. After set, add to the remaining portion 1/2 cup sour cream. Mix well and pour over already set Jello. Repeat for each flavor. Let it set well before serving.

This Jello is so good and it looks like it is complicated but it is super easy, just time comsuming! I used sugar free jello and fat free sour cream and it tasted great!

Well I just have to say thanks to Obama today. Because of him we get $8000!!! He started a new bill this year for first time home buyers. So if you buy a home between January 2009-December 2009 you get an automatic $8000! The only stipulation is that you cannot sell within 3 years, if you do then you have to pay the government back. So for any of you looking to buy your first home make sure you do it before the end of the year so you can get this money too!

Sorry this has taken me so long to post but we have been pretty busy lately. Here is our new house, well some of it, you will have to wait to see Kobe's and Yuyi and my bedrooms because they were a mess when I took the pictures so I will take some soon! We absolutely love living here are having a place of our own. I was so excited to finally be able to paint walls, so far I have only painted the dining room wall but I do have plans for Kobe room in the works so hopefully in a month you will see that. The walls are still pretty bare we are slowly getting things up. Veranl is a really nice place to live and I love the small town charm here, Yuyi is still getting used to it, but he does like it ok. It is so nice to be home with Kobe, we have so much fun during the days together!

What we've been up to...

Wow I can't a month has gone by. Time had flown by this past month. Yuyi has been in Denver for a month doing some work related training. I was able to go visit him one weekend and Kobe stayed with Grandma and Grandpa. Thanks for watching him, Kobe had a blast! Kobe and I have been staying at my parents house since we didn't have a home in Vernal yet, but on Friday we closed on our house!!! I am so excited to have a place to live now! We will be moving in on Saturday. I will post pictures of our house soon!
We received a dining room set that is over 30 years old, so I recovered the chairs (my first time) and then I also bought an accent chair at a second hand store that I recovered too. Here are the pictures of the chairs and some of Kobe. I have before and after of the dining chair and only an after picture of the accent chair.

Well we moved AGAIN!!! Yuyi got a job as an engineer for Halliburton in Vernal Utah! We moved to Vernal last Saturday the 10th. Halliburton put us in a hotel for a month while we find a place to live. Vernal is only 2 hours from my parents so Kobe was able to spend a week with grandma and grandpa while I looked for a place. I will let you know when we actually find a place. It will be nice that I can stay home with Kobe now. Yuyi worked last week and he really liked it so hopefully it will be a good job for him.

Gingerbread House

Well I have seen a lot of you make gingerbread houses so I thought I can do this with Kobe. I went to buy a kit but I am too cheap to spend that much on one, so I thought that I can make one out of graham crackers. As you can see from the pictures is was a huge mess at first. It kept falling over and I had to keep adding more icing. Finally it stayed together, but it looked so messy. So Kobe and I put candy all over it to hide the ugly house. Next year maybe I will just break down and spend the money, it is probably worth my time and my patience.

A whole new meaning to the phrase "Potty Train"

Yesterday Kobe made a HUGE mess! Kobe has been going potty very well lately, but poop is another story! Kobe will stay dry all day and use his potty without being asked. But when he needs to go #2 he will want a diaper put on him. I don't know why he is scared to do the deed in the potty? So back to my story. Last night Kobe was in his room playing and I had just checked on him. So he come into my room a few minutes later with stuff all over his hands, yep you guessed it! I thought I was going to be sick, only did I realize that was just the tip of the iceberg. I go to his room to find that he tried to change himself. BM is all over his bed, carpet, and toys. This is the worst. Good thing Yuyi was home, he swept Kobe off to the bath while I took on the mess. After cleaning everything in his room I went to go have a little talk with Kobe. I told him that if he needs to be changed he needs to ask dad or mom. Then I go on saying that he is ready to be a big boy and be fully potty trained. I kept going on and on about potty training. When I finally finish Kobe looks up at me and says, "Mom I want a potty train!" And I say, "yes Kobe we are going to potty train you." He looks up at me confused and says, "I want a train now." What?! I guess I need to be more specific. The whole time I was talking about potty training, and all Kobe was thinking about is some cool train he was going to get! I guess I will not use the pharas Potty Train with him anymore. I did tell Kobe that if he does go #2 in the potty I will buy him a train. He was very excited about that one.

Popcorn Incident

Last night Kobe was watching a movie and eating some popcorn. I was putting Landry away in the other room. Kobe can to me whining. I asked him what's wrong. He said, "My nose hurts." I asked him why does your nose hurt. He said, "popcorn" WHAT!! Kobe did you put popcorn in your nose. His reply, "yes mama."
Well after him kicking and screaming for 30 minutes while Yuyi and I try to pry the kernel out of his nose, no luck. Finally we decided to have him sleep and try to get it out while he is sleeping. It took us a good 40 minutes, but we did get that popcorn kernal out!

Thanksgiving Weekend

We went to Provo to my Grandpa's for Thanksgiving this year. We were able to see all my family except Kellee and Dennis's family. It was a lot of fun and good to get together. On thanksgiving 2 of my mom's brothers and wifes came and my Cousin and his family came. It was a fun day and Kobe loved playing football with all the kids! It was a nice weekend of good food, shopping, and relaxing. Kobe was so cute. He would call my dad grandpa and he would call my grandpa "more grandpa". He usually just called them both grandpa but this time he wanted to distinguish between the two!

Long Time!

Wow, time has flown I haven't posted in a while so I thought I would share a cute story with you that happened the other day. Kobe went to the dentist a week ago and the dentist gave him some spongebob tooth paste. Kobe had other toothpaste at home but he loves spongebob so of course he loves this new toothpaste. Kobe now wants to brush his teeth 10 times a day instead of the two times that he was fighting me with before. It's great that he wants his clean teeth now, but I am nervous that he is eating too much toothpaste since we are still work on spitting it out. Anyways a a few days ago after we had just brushed, Kobe came to me as said, "I want to brush with spongebob pants." I told him he could brush later since he just brushed his teeth. Kobe then says, "I go ask daddy then." And what does he do? I hear him in the other room asking Yuyi if he can brush his teeth. Luckily Yuyi heard the whole conversation and stuck his ground. I can't believe a two year old has already learned to go ask dad when mom says no.

Well we had a fun filled day with lots of festivities! Kobe and I carved a pumpkin, make pumpkin, ghost, and bat sugar cookies and we ended the night at our wards trunk-or-treat! Kobe learned how to say trick-or-treat very quickly because he loved the reward for saying those few words! We had fun all in all and it ended up to be a great day. Kobe was supposed to be a really cute monkey but he refused the costume on Halloween so I improvised and he was a basketball player. Painting Pumpkins and Cooking Bacon

The other day Kobe came into my bedroom with a frying pan. I asked him, "what are you doing?" He replied, "Cooking bacon." He then proceeds to get Yuyi's socks from the dresser and places them in the pan just as I do when I cook bacon. Children imaginations are great!!!

Today Kobe painted a pumpkin for Halloween! It was so much fun and Kobe really seemed to enjoy himself. I was surprised at his attention span, he painted for over 30 min. I usually can only get him to sit for 10-15 min. at an activity! We might have a future arist on our hands.

Well Kobe and I have been quite the travlers these past two weeks. I have the whole month of October off for my track break so Kobe and I went to visit some family. We first went to Provo to visit my grandpa Bradford for conference weekend. Kellee, Dennis and Averi were there so it was good to finallly meet Averi. Kobe was very gentle and sweet with Averi. I was afraid he would get jealous when I held her but he was great! After Provo we headed down to Rock Springs with my parents to spend a week with them. It was fun to just relax and hang out with my mom and dad. Kobe loves his grandpa so much and he also loves to tease grandma when she tries to hug and kiss him Kobe will say, "ouch, ouch." Like it hurts him. What a silly boy. The next weekend my mom, Kobe, and I went to Rexburg to visit Lisa for mother's weekend. It was fun to stay with my in-laws Blessings and Katoba. It was also good to see you Katy and Ava. It was a fun weekend even though Kobe had the stomach flu all day on Friday. Kobe and I were glad to return to Yuyi but we had a blast on our trip visiting some family and friends!

Wounded

Kobe is very active and always climbing on something, and Yuyi and I are constantly telling him if he climbs he could fall and get hurt. Well yesterday he decided to climb on the TV cabinet and sure enough he fell. He hit his eye pretty good and got a little cut. His eye is now swollen and bruised. Hopefully he'll learn from this and stop climbing on everything!

Today Kobe turned 2! I can't believe he is 2 already! They grow up too fast! We had a fun day, we opened presents, went to Chucke E Cheese's, and had some yummy cake! Here are some pictures and videos of our fun day. I forgot my camera when we went to Chucke E Cheese's so I have no pictures of that part! Kobe loved the cake and he especially loved eating the sprinkles off of the cake! Happy Birthday Kobe we love you tons!

Auntie Lisa came to Visit!!!

Lisa came to visit us for Labor day weekend! We had so much fun and Kobe was so excited to have his Lisa come and play with him! On saturday we went swimming and then we went to the shark reef. Saturday night Lisa and I were able to go to Mandalay Bay to watch Mama Mia on Broadway! It was great to watch and now I really want to see the movie. Sunday we had a nice relaxing day and went to church and that evening we went to the temple to walk on the grounds. Monday was a shopping day and then Lisa left that afternoon. It was fun while she was here but it was too fast. Kobe still asks for Lisa and I know he misses her tons!

Shark Reef

Yesterday we went to the Shark Reef. It was so much fun! Kobe loved watching all the fish and sharks swimming. His favorite was the turtles and the bubbles (Kobe called the jellyfish bubbles). We will definately be going again (especially since we get in free being a teacher!) If you ever come to Vegas and what a fun family activity I would suggest this it was so much fun! Some of the pictures didn't turn out very good because of the flash on the glass sorry.

Averi Elaine McGee

My sister Kellee had her baby on Monday! She is such a doll and I wish that I could see her in person! So I want to show off how adorable she is. She is having trouble keeping her blood sugars regulated on her own so she has some IV's in (which look kind of scary). So try to look past that! Averi is still in the hospital and they hope she will be able to go home tomorrow! (keeping our fingers crossed)
Averi weighted 6 lbs. 14 oz and was 18.5 inches long.

Las Vegas

Well we have made it to Las Vegas and we are now unpacked and mostly settled in. It has been a crazy few weeks so it is nice to have a week to relax before work begins for me. Yuyi will start school on the 25th of this month and right now he is looking for part time work. We did buy a new car our first few day here. We had two cars in Rexburg, our Jeep and an old Honda accord. We knew eventually we would need to purchase a new car but we were hoping that the Honda would last for a couple of months in Vegas. Well the day before we were going to leave the Honda died, so we decided to leave it in Rexburg and we were hoping to find a car when we moved. Luckily a car dealership was having a sale and we were able to get a great deal on a new car. We bought a 2008 Hyundi Accent this will be a great car for around town and it gets really good gas mileage which is so important now with the rise in gas prices.
Kobe really likes that our new apartment is much larger than our apartment in Rexburg. He is constantly running around from room to room. Kobe also loves the pool that our complex has, he asks to go swimming daily and loves to play in the water. Kobe does miss his friends in Rexburg, he asks for them by name. Luckily a lot of them have blogs so I show him pictures and that seems to make him happy. We hope Kobe will be able to make good friends here so that he won't be lonely having to play with mom and dad all the time.

NO MORE BINKY!!!!

So I have been trying to get Kobe off the Binky but is has been difficult because he loves it so much! My friend Megan said she cut the end of the Binky for her daughter and then cut it a little more each day until she didn't have anything left. I tried this with Kobe but he noticed a difference the first day I cut it and he wouldn't take that Binky. So then I tried to limit his Binky use by only letting him have it on the bed or the couch but Kobe ended up sitting on the couch a lot throughout the day. So that didn't work! Last but not least I decided to try to make him "share" his Binky with someone else. His buddy Dylan has a baby sister Elle and Kobe just adores Elle. Well I told Kobe that Elle needed some new Binky's and asked him if he would share his Binky with Elle. This seemed to work, he went over to her house and gave Elle his Binky! I was nervous how he would do at night without his beloved Binky, but he did fairly well. He asked for it a few times but then when I reminded him that he shared it with Elle he seemed to be fine. We are now on day 3 of no Binky and I think he is pretty much over it!!!

I was in Rexburg taking some classes and working. I lived in this tiny house that was probably the worst place I have ever lived! But I did have some of the best roommates there!

1. I tried to go skydiving 3 times but each time something happened: the weather too bad, the pilot didn't show up. Coincidence?
2. I love the beach! I would be content all day on the beach doing nothing.
